About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Data Platform Analyst to support the maintenance, monitoring, and optimisation of our data platforms. As a Junior Data Platform Analyst, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, BI, and IT to support the smooth functioning of our modern data system.

This role will also expose you to core practices in data governance, access control, and platform reliability while deepening your understanding of technologies such as Azure Synapse, Data Lakehouse architecture, and orchestration tools.

What you'll be doing:

Monitoring data pipelines and troubleshooting any issues or failures to ensure seamless data flow. Writing and optimising SQL queries and implementing data quality checks to maintain accuracy and consistency. Participate in data modelling and schema design. Collaborating with analysts and business intelligence team to ensure that interfaces and pipelines are aligned with business requirements. Assisting data engineers in the development and maintenance of data pipelines and related infrastructure. Providing support for BI tools, dashboards, and analytics platforms such as Power BI, Looker, or Tableau. Generate reports on platform usage, cost, and performance metrics. Help manage user access, security controls, and platform documentation.

What we are looking for:

Knowledge of SQL Language and its use in data querying and analysis. Good understanding of Microsoft Azure Synapse and Data Lakehouse technologies. Familiarity with programming languages, particularly Python. Basic knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts, tools, and data integration practices. Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working across teams.
