Hybrid role: 3 days in central London office / 2 days from home

Salary range: 30k - 40k

Purpose of the role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Finance Analyst to join our dynamic retail business. The successful candidate will support the finance team in analysing financial data, preparing reports, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes. This role is ideal for someone looking to further their career in finance and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities:

Assist the Senior Finance Analyst in the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reporting. Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering and organising relevant data. Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Support Senior Commercial Finance Analyst in conducting financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives. Maintain and update financial models and databases under the guidance of the Senior Finance Analyst. Support Senior Commercial Finance Analyst in delivering data project for the business Assist in the preparation of presentations for senior management. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required by the Senior Finance Analyst.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Commenced studying for relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or desire to do so. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial and analytical software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of retail industry trends and financial practices is desirable.
