Job Description

We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to join our dynamic Procurement team and help keep our shelves full of products our customers love. This is a home-based role, offering flexibility and autonomy, while still giving you the opportunity to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

Reporting into the Procurement Manager, this role supports the end-to-end buying process--from sourcing raw materials and packaging to managing supplier relationships and keeping a close eye on inventory. You'll play a critical role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly, efficiently, and always with quality in mind.

Key Responsibilities



Supplier Sourcing & Market Research -

You'll support the team in identifying and assessing new suppliers and markets, staying on top of trends and finding innovative, cost-effective options for our sourcing needs.

Research and evaluate potential suppliers for raw materials and packaging Track market trends and analyse cost-efficiency opportunities Build a strong database of supplier information Work with Senior Buyers to assess quality, pricing and service performance

Order Management & Fulfilment -

You'll help manage the flow of goods--from placing purchase orders to liaising with internal teams and making sure everything arrives on time.

Raise and track purchase orders in line with forecasts and production needs Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries Maintain accurate procurement records Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. logistics, production, planning) to resolve any issues

Supplier Relationship Management -

Relationships matter. You'll be a key point of contact for supplier communication and support strong, collaborative partnerships.

Assist in day-to-day supplier communications Help resolve issues around delivery, pricing or quality Support supplier performance reviews and follow up on action points

Cost Control & Negotiation Support -

We're all about value without compromising quality. You'll help ensure that every penny is spent wisely.

Support cost negotiations and monitor pricing trends Track and report on cost savings and procurement KPIs Assist in identifying and implementing cost efficiency opportunities

Inventory & Stock Level Support -

Stockouts and overstocking? Not on your watch.

Help monitor inventory levels and forecast needs Support the team in demand analysis and stock usage reporting Ensure accurate stock tracking and documentation

What You'll NeedExperience & Education



1+ years' experience in a procurement or buying role, ideally in FMCG, retail or manufacturing Familiarity with procurement processes and supplier management Degree educated or equivalent experience Experience with procurement software a plus

Skills & Characteristics



Strong communication and relationship-building skills Excel whiz with high attention to detail Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities Curious, eager to learn, and solution-focused A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment Basic negotiation skills and a keen commercial mindset
