As part of our continued growth, we're looking for a Junior Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team at our Chandlers Ford office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone developing their finance career, who thrives in a fast-paced and supportive environment.



As a Junior Accounts Assistant, you'll play an important part in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the firm. From ensuring client transactions are recorded accurately to handling queries and assisting with billing, you'll be hands-on and integral to the smooth running of the Finance department. You'll collaborate with colleagues across the business, build confidence working with financial systems, and gain valuable experience in legal accounting - all while learning and growing in a team that values development and teamwork.


The Role





As a Junior Accounts Assistant, you'll:


Prompt and accurate recording of all financial transactions relating to client money Raising and processing electronic payments Performing daily bank reconciliations Reconciling client accounts and managing residual balances or untraceable funds Verifying data reports, client accounts, and statements Supporting billing through checking and final posting General banking tasks Handling internal staff queries via phone and email Notifying Lawyers of funds received Managing external calls and taking card payments promptly Assisting Finance Managers with financial admin and ad hoc duties Providing administrative support to other departments when needed

About You





The ideal candidate will have:


A desire to learn, a flexible attitude, and a collaborative mindset Confidence with numbers and proficiency in IT, especially Excel Previous experience in a legal environment is desirable but not essential GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C or above in English and Mathematics Ideally studying towards an AAT qualification
