Overview

Good understanding of installation of fire doors, We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to fabricate, assemble, and install various structures and fixtures. This role requires proficiency in using both power and hand tools, as well as a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship. The Joiner will play a crucial role in delivering projects on time and to specification.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, frameworks, and fittings according to specifications. Perform masonry work as needed, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. Conduct electrical installations and repairs, adhering to safety standards. Plumb fixtures and fittings accurately to ensure proper alignment and function. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for various tasks, including cutting, shaping, and finishing materials. Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required during the construction process. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and painters, to complete projects efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.

Experience

Proven experience as a Joiner or in a similar role within the construction industry is essential. Strong skills in carpentry, including the ability to read technical drawings and plans. Familiarity with masonry techniques is advantageous. Experience with electrical work is desirable but not mandatory. Competence in plumbing tasks is beneficial for this role. Ability to operate various power tools safely and effectively. A solid understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction sector. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this position.
