Overview:
Our client, a leafing tier one Investment Bank are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join their growing team in London. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining Java applications and working with SQL databases.

The initial project requirements are to migrate the java applications to new server but later support & maintain the application.

Mandatory skills:

• Experience in Application Migration
• Experience configuring and working with JBOSS Application Server 7
• Strong development background on the Java platform, Java 8+ required
• Experience with development on IntelliJ/Eclipse with Runtime Debugging
• Experience of working with version control systems e.g., Subversion, GIT and build tools like Maven
• Experience of relational database development using SQL and JDBC
• Good understanding of the system development life cycle, including change and configuration management.
• Experience working with Active Directory

Desirable:

• Experience working with IntelliJ, Jenkins, PowerShell, JavaScript
• A working knowledge of file transfer protocols and configuration e.g., SFTP, FTP
• Experience providing production support.
• Exposure to
• JIRA, API testing (i.e., Soap UI/Postman) Selenium, Mock frameworks
• Understanding of batch processing.
• Understanding of Enterprise Scheduling tools e.g., Control-M

Rate / Duration:

• \xc2\xa3400 \xe2\x80\x93 \xc2\xa3500 per day
• 3 days onsite in London
• 6 month initial contract
