The IT User Administrator will play a key role in supporting the IT Service Desk team by handling essential IT setup and administrative tasks related to colleagues joining or leaving the firm.
This entry-level position is well-suited for individuals eager to begin a career in IT, providing an opportunity to gain foundational experience with IT systems within a legal firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with setting up laptops and mobile phones for new starters.
Ensure accounts are set up and removed in a timely manner while following security procedures.
Coordinate with the IT Support team to arrange the delivery or collection of IT equipment.
Track and manage IT assets, ensuring accurate records are maintained for audit and compliance purposes.
Maintain accurate records of user accounts and administrative tasks.
Work closely with HR to anticipate upcoming demands and to ensure the smooth onboarding and offboarding of colleagues.
Gather and catalogue redundant IT equipment and coordinate its collection by the IT recycling partner, ensuring that all paperwork is accurately completed.
Carry out regular checks of IT office equipment so that it is functioning correctly and have it repaired or replaced when necessary.
Provide excellent customer service and respond to basic queries.
Contribute to improving administrative processes.
Collate data for management information reports related to this role's activities.
Required Skills and Experience:

Basic IT knowledge and a keen interest in developing a career in IT.
Experience working in a customer service or administrative role is beneficial but not essential.

Preferred Experience:
Some exposure to IT systems such as Intune, Active Directory and Office 365 is a plus.
Working within an office environment.
Qualifications:
Good GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above.
Post-16 education or training in IT or a related discipline (e.g., A-Levels, BTEC, apprenticeship, or equivalent).
Work Environment:
This role is based in our Bristol office and requires being on-site five days a week, Monday to Friday.
Standard working hours with occasional need for flexibility during busy periods.
