About the Role
In recent years, the Technical Operations division has been investing heavily in the company\'s IT infrastructure and building an IT function that is unlike other, traditional IT departments. Due to the ongoing growth of the business and the team, we are now seeking an IT Team Lead who will bridge the gap between our small team of IT Administrators and the Head of Technical Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for team management, development of individuals within the team, managing IT projects and overseeing critical IT suppliers.
Key responsibilities will include:
Resource management for the internal IT team, which includes ensuring our IT Administrators have a reasonable and motivating workload
Management of the company IT calendar. This involves ensuring that regular, repeat tasks for the team are completed on time and to the right standard (e.g. penetration tests, disaster recovery simulations, and more)
Proactively proposing ways to streamline IT management processes and then implementing these
Delivering and managing a wide range of IT projects, conducting project appraisals and ensuring Change Control forms have been submitted
Maintaining and ensuring compliance with a company-wide system administration training programme
Reviewing peer-written IT-related documentation, including user guides and company policies, and ensuring these are high quality
Line management of the IT team, with a focus on building a roadmap for our team\'s growth and structure, as well as supporting the team to move towards that structure. You will also have the opportunity to support with recruitment efforts for the team
Supporting the career development and growth of team members, which may include identifying areas where the team could benefit from training, and organising or developing those trainings
Helping to create and leading the implementation of the company\'s future IT strategy
Building and maintaining strong relationships with third parties and suppliers, such as our managed service provider (MSP), to ensure the company is receiving the best service possible
Acting as a conduit between the internal IT team and the wider company for all IT-related communication
Identifying and managing IT-related expenditure
Our standard working week is 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, however we can also consider applicants looking for part-time hours of no less than 22.5 hours per week.

About You
The IT Team Lead role will be suited to an individual who is passionate about supporting and developing a strong team of IT Administrators, as well as looking to develop their skills whilst progressing their career in the industry.
Essential requirements for the role are:
Three to five years of experience in an IT-related role
At least one year of experience of line management or team management
Experience of leading IT-related projects, including the ability to maintain knowledge of the progress of, and risks to, all facets of a project throughout the project\'s lifetime
The ability to get the best of out a team. Experience in supporting, challenging and supervising others which includes delivering clear communication on tasks, project requirements and expectations, as well as inspiring confidence in others
A \xe2\x80\x9ccan do\xe2\x80\x9d approach, and the initiative, positivity and creativity required to continually improve processes
A results-driven focus, with a productive drive to getting tasks completed efficiently and effectively
The ability to juggle multiple tasks as well as managing conflicting and changing demands. For this, the ability to effectively prioritise tasks is vital
Familiarity with IT policies and processes as well as experience of independently developing and reviewing IT technical writing
Excellent written and verbal communication. This includes an ability to communicate confidently and professionally to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience in building relationships with key stakeholders within the business as well as third parties
An interest in, and aptitude for, mastering unfamiliar systems and company processes
Experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
Desired requirements for the role are:
A degree level or higher qualification (2.1 or above) in a relevant discipline
Understanding of Microsoft 365, including Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, Admin Center, Endpoint Manager, Intune, Defender for Endpoint
Experience with cloud storage solutions
Experience in administrating IT hardware (procurement, configuration, returns, disposal, etc.) and maintaining an asset database
Experience in critical IT administration processes

The Recruitment Process
