. The Support Specialist position will provide technical support to company employees.
What Will You Do?
Provide direct technical support for end users in the Legrand Data, Power, and Control Reading, UK site and remote technical support for global sites and users
Provide technical support for manufacturing operations, including Windows computers, OT systems, and IoT devices
Liaise with IT functional experts to ensure correct support is provided
Support general hardware and software technical issues.
Maintain and repair computer and peripheral devices
New employee setup, deployment and onboarding
Maintain inventory of IT equipment
Install and configure software on machines
Manage cybersecurity vulnerabilities and partner with other IT staff and business users regarding cybersecurity initiatives
Arrange maintenance and repairs from vendors
Purchase and provision of IT supplies
Other various duties as necessary or assigned
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven IT experience supporting end users and computers
Preferred experience supporting Windows servers and networks
Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, while managing multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Customer service orientation; strong interpersonal skills
Skilled at resolving complex problems
Ability to learn new technologies quickly
Self-motivated and self-directed
Minimum Qualifications
Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
Two years IT user support experience
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 25 pounds
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
