Job Description


FRA is seeking an IT Support Engineer to help support and grow FRA as well as assist with office and datacenter environments in five countries, supporting client-facing applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to the FRA user base. Additionally, they will be responsible for working with the Senior Engineering / Operations Manager to support FRA\xe2\x80\x99s global infrastructure. This candidate will also participate in / lead multiple projects simultaneously and track their progress through to completion.
Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd Level IT support to FRA Users including:
  • Laptop configuration and support.
  • Supporting network access.
  • Supporting printing.
  • Assist in onboarding of new FRA users.
  • Document internal procedures.
  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk.
  • Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.
  • Support the company\xe2\x80\x99s global hosting infrastructure including Local Area Network, Wide Area Network, Internet, and Remote Access systems.
  • Perform infrastructure, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Respond to and analyse security system alerts and incident reports.
  • Server, network, and storage hardware implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Part of an On-Call Rota for Out of Hours support and escalations.
  • Occasional travel to our FRA offices and client sites as required.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Minimum 3 years IT Help Desk experience supporting a multi-office environment (Desirable)
  • Microsoft Active Directory and DNS
  • Microsoft 365
  • Microsoft Azure
  • VMware Vsphere 6.7
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012 or newer
  • Microsoft Exchange 2013 or newer
  • Video Conferencing (Zoom and/or Webex)
  • Fiber Channel and iSCSI SAN storage experience
  • ITIL V3 Foundation (minimum)
  • Experience with VOIP solutions e.g., Shoretel/Mitel (Desirable)
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2016/2019 (Desirable)
  • Enterprise Backup Applications and Systems (Rubrik (Desirable))
  • Experience with 3PAR storage (Desirable)
  • Anti-Malware / Anti-Virus protection security applications experience
  • Security certification (Desirable)
