IT Security Specialist
London KT1 / Hybrid
50-70k Base + Excellent Benefits

As a well-established and fast-growing provider of body-worn camera systems, our client helps capture evidence from a first-person perspective in over 40 countries around the world. With the majority of UK police forces and many leading retailers locked up, they are well-placed for further growth. To drive compliance, they now have an exciting and immediate opening for an IT Security specialist.

As IT Security Specialist, you will reduce security threats and proactively monitor systems whilst performing the following:

• Operation and administration of security technologies
• Highlight threats and vulnerabilities whilst ensuring corrective programs and actions take place
• Actively contribute to the continuous development of security tools, technologies, processes, and overall IT capability in the Management of Cyber Risk
• Assist in the design of security Architecture
• Manage Security Tickets in the Service Platform
• Work with internal and external auditors, and penetration testers as necessary to ensure compliance and effective defence in security matters
• Work with the IT teams to identify all information assets, assess protection measures, and develop and implement necessary controls
• Work with the IT Manager to protect information assets in accordance with data classification and criticality
• Ensure Antivirus and firewall technologies are maintained and monitored
• Ensure Patching is maintained and managed along with BCP equipment

The successful IT Security Specialist will demonstrate the following skills, traits, and experience:

• 5 years prior cyber security experience
• Experience working with security technologies such as Microsoft Defender, Bitlocker, Manage Engine, and SIEM tools.
• A solid understanding of Information Security Frameworks (e.g. ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus).
• Cloud Security
• Exposure to wireless and mobile security standards and technologies
• Cloud technologies and security practices
• Change Management policies and processes
• Ethical hacking
• An IT-related qualification i.e computer science/engineering degree or equivalent
• Resident in the UK for the last 5 years (NVPP3 With SC Cleared Police Vetting will be required)
• CISSP Certification
• MS Azure qualification (Desirable)
• CRISC (Desirable)
• ISO27001 qualification (Desirable)
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) qualification (Desirable)
