Salary \xc2\xa340,000 to \xc2\xa348,000 Depending on Experience

The Security Operations Team at Saga Plc is growing! We are embarking on some exciting migration projects and introducing new systems and applications to the business. As a large matrix corporate organisation, we have robust security controls in place.

You will be part of a remote team of SecOps experts who perform Security Operational Duties across an array of IT applications. Making this a varied and interesting role for any SecOps Engineer looking to experience new challenges and build their cyber security knowledge on the latest IT products in the market.

You will need to have an excellent operational focus on system stability, security, performance and reliability.

You will be responsible for the management and application of security controls across the technology estate that covers; CyberArk, Office 365, email routing, and Zscaler.

In return, Saga can offer you a fully remote role, if you are based in the UK. This is a permanent role, so all candidates will need to have the right to work and remain in the UK for this permanent contract. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

** Remote/home working ** Saga work a hybrid approach requiring some occasional team days in our King Cross - London office.

**Once you have settled into the role you will be included in the on-call team rota. Typically, 1 out of 4 weeks worked.

Role Responsibility

Working as one of our SecOps Engineers, your responsibilities will cover the following areas;

  • Providing technical support for infrastructure and security applications within Saga, liaising with other technical teams and vendors to implement fixes and upgrades as required. Acting as a point of escalation for complex problems and incidents.
  • Developing and maintaining relevant documentation, and ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
  • Being able to work and with Cyber Security teams for vulnerabilities and security improvements.
  • Monitoring systems and proactively recognising and raising issues to the business and to the Technology team where required.
  • Administering the system maintenance procedures; raising, taking ownership and updating change requests and faults, and communicating their progress to both internal and external colleagues.
  • Owning the planning and implementation of systems upgrades to ensure application stability.
  • Working within project teams to introduce new infrastructure and security applications to support the Saga business.
  • Actively supporting the incident response processes including incident triage, containment, eradication, and resolution.
The Ideal Candidate

You will have already worked as a MS 365 Engineer/ SecOps Engineer / Cyber Security Engineer who is now keen to join a team embarking on new challenges incorporating CyberArk.

Our new IT Security Operations Engineer will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience;
  • Proven experience of working in a technical role within a corporate environment.
  • Experience of supporting Microsoft 365, Check Point Endpoint, Zscaler or Proofpoint would also be advantageous.
  • A good understanding of cyber security principles and experience of working with information security teams.
  • Methodical approach to problem solving, works through a problem in a controlled, logical manner using a consistent approach enabling an efficient resolution to both simple and complex problems.
  • Able to complete allocated tasks with minimum supervision to tight deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. Should be capable of communicating effectively with colleagues from all areas of the organisation using a variety of techniques.
  • Resilient, able to work methodically under pressure.
Most importantly, you will need to have had recent experience of implementing and supporting CyberArk Privilege Cloud SaaS solution!
