This is an expanding and dynamic sector, which changes as new technologies are developed.

Role Overview



To support its continued growth, Renovotec now seeks to extend its team of experienced mobile device Repair Technicians. Based from our Normanton site and working as part of the Repairs Team on a two shift basis (7am to 3pm and 11am to 7pm Mon-Fri), you are expected to complete device repairs in accordance with service level agreements purchased by our customers. This is a busy and challenging environment, requiring communication between different teams within Renovotec to facilitate the completion of repairs.

You would be repairing and servicing customer devices returned to our Certified Repair Centre, this is most commonly small hand-held computers repairing scanners, screens, board swap-outs, keyboards, etc. You would also be investigating problems that could either be operating system problems or hardware problems, which may require patch upgrades or other software related installs.

Ideally you will come from working in this kind of role already, either staging or repairing mobile phones or tablets/laptops/PC's and ideally have experience of rugged mobile devices.

Role and responsibilities



Book in equipment that is delivered to us on a daily basis. Configure devices to a certain specification so they work out of the box when they reach a customer. Repair broken devices that are sent in by the customer. Log devices with 3rd party repair centres. Management of stock control within the office.

Role Requirements



Assessment of workload and ability to prioritise work when required. Basic networking knowledge. Communication skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft office and Windows operating system. Ability to work as a team.
