The Vacancy
The infrastructure engineer is required to support the server and cloud-based services provided to all MTC locations. The support covers, setup, patching, administration through to solution design and implementation. Ensuring a reliable service is provided to all our customers (internalexternal). Adhering to MTC standards and processes and developing supporting documentation. Working closely with the team members, customers across the business and 3rd parties.



Predominantly internal communication with close team members and colleagues. When necessary, liaising with customers and 3rd parties. At times it may be necessary to communicate with IS senior managers.



Innovation is key to a successful IS department, so not only following process but developing and improving where possible within the infrastructure, and consistent with change control.



Existing knowledge and hands on experience of server infrastructure is essential. This must cover MS Windows Server 2022 and MS Azure cloud services, including Office 365. Good understanding of virtualised server infrastructure, cloud service offerings. An appreciation of other operating systems, e.g. Linux, would be beneficial.
