Are you a computer savvy people person who is looking to take the next steps in your career within management? If so, we have an exciting newly created opportunity for an IOT Transformation Team Leader to join us!

This is an excellent role, where you will line manage a team of PRISM Support Consultants to provide support and mentorship, as well as technical guidance, when complex issues arise.

The IoT/PRISM Support team works on Ovarro\xe2\x80\x99s Scope X which is our control and management system that is connected to all our sensors and connectors across our regional sites throughout the Wessex Water region.

The role

As an IOT Transformation Team Leader, you will help develop IoT/PRISM Support Consultants by driving improvements through the effective management of suppliers, as well as ensuring adherence to best practice principles and ITIL processes and policies.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll perform line management duties and will allocate BAU and project work to team members in accordance with their responsibilities and performance objectives, as well as taking on hands-on work.

Additionally, you\xe2\x80\x99ll balance project and BAU deliverables against business support requirements, ensuring SLAs are met, projects are delivered and high levels of customer support are maintained.

What do I need?

We are looking for a customer-focused individual who has a good understanding of complex concepts and is able to keep up in a fast-paced environment working unsupervised. To be successful, you will have excellent organisational skills and be an effective communicator.

In addition, we are looking for:

• experience with telemetry and SCADA systems \xe2\x80\x93 Ovarro\xe2\x80\x99s Scope/Miser are preferable
• a good understanding of IoT, OT and electronics concepts \xe2\x80\x93 RTUs, Routers, etc
• previous team leading experience, however this is not essential

• experience with Linux Server Administration

• experience with Windows Server Administration
• experience with script languages \xe2\x80\x93 PowerShell/Python
• experience with databases (SQL, Redis, etc)
• experience operating in a Matrix Managed environment
• an understanding of networking protocols - TCP/UDP, DNP3, SNMP, etc
• good Microsoft Excel proficiency
• problem solving skills \xe2\x80\x93 taking a logical evidence-based approach
• the ability to derive information from documentation
• an awareness that changes made may have significant impact throughout complex systems
• the ability to challenge requirements.
