About our client

Our client is a global alternative investment business, who are looking to hire an Associate into their London based team. They have been actively investing for over fifty years, diversifying their strategy and growing significantly. They currently have an AUM of $7bn across PE, RE and Debt; their Fund, Co-Investments and Secondaries team manages around $4.5bn.

As an Associate in their Funds, Co-Investments and Secondaries team, you will have exposure to all aspects of the deal process. Although based in the European team, you will operate on a global level. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a move to the buyside and work in a non-hierarchical firm with fantastic exposure. What the job involves

• Work on all aspects of the transaction process, including execution of investments
• Develop and analyse financial models for potential investments in Europe
• Prepare investment memoranda and present to IC
• Support team in performing due diligence
• Assist in portfolio management activities, including discussions with underlying GPs and companies, as well as preparing internal reports

• At least 2 years in Investment Banking or Private Equity
• Strong financial acumen
• Good general understanding of the private equity industry, in particular Fund, Co-investment and Secondaries strategies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills
• Strong judgement, able to present ideas effectively
• Team-player, confident working in a lean team environment, ability to interact with senior team members
