The position of International Officer sits within the International Office, which forms part of the wider Directorate of External Relations, within the University\xe2\x80\x99s Professional Services. With approximately 1500 staff, Professional Services has a number of student and academic focused functions along with other corporate and support roles.
The Directorate is responsible for marketing, recruitment and the admission of students to the University of Aberdeen. The main function of the section is to work closely with all departments to achieve student recruitment targets for the University, developing relationships with prospective students and their influencers and other key stakeholders, enhancing the University\xe2\x80\x99s international profile through academic and commercial links.
The main purpose of the role of International Officer is to contribute to the University\xe2\x80\x99s international recruitment activities \xe2\x80\x93 with the aim of increasing the number of international students recruited to the University and improving conversion of applicants to registered students at undergraduate, postgraduate and study abroad level. Vacancies currently sit in our China and Europe Teams. Markets will be allocated to successful candidates post interview. Additionally, the post holders will have internal responsibilities to facilitate connectivity between other Directorate sections, specifically Admissions, Enquiries and Digital Marketing. The International Officer will report directly to the appropriate Regional Manager. Close liaison with prospective students, other administrative and academic departments within the University, University representatives overseas and key partner organisations will be required.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 5, \xc2\xa330,619 - \xc2\xa334,314 per annum, with placement according to qualifications and experience.
