SUMMARY

Regional Career team is a specialized unit in Mercer, providing professional consulting and information services throughout Asia Pacific. Render services to a wide range of multinational companies and reputable corporations on Compensation and Benefits (C&B) Consulting. The areas of expertise include rewards advisory, executive compensation, listed-company director remuneration and industries span across luxury goods & lifestyle retail, garment sourcing/ supply chain, hospitality and many more.

Rewards consultants work with a wide range of clients to help them develop and implement reward programs for their employees, providing expert advice on pay philosophy, rewards strategy, grading design, incentive design, market trends, regulations and best practices. Drawing on global research and rigorous analysis, rewards consultants equip clients with guidance, knowledge, tools and support to ensure their reward programs reinforce their strategic objectives. A Rewards Consulting Assistant provides first-level administrative support while learning routines, acquiring experience and developing skills.

POSITION SCOPE

We will count on you to:

  • Under direct supervision, work with colleagues to support the rewards consultants with administrative tasks.
  • Conduct general market and client-specific research using public and internal databases to gather information on client or prospective client business information including acquisition history, business performance public financial data as required. May also research other areas to solicit knowledge as required.
  • Uses Mercer\'s in house technology to run reports analysis and support other team members.
  • Support on any ad hoc tasks and projects.
What you need to have:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, majoring in Human Resources, Statistics, Operation Management, Risk Management, Information System/Computing, or other business/science-related disciplines.
  • Strong mathematical/logical foundation and analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative and a solid background in Microsoft Excel application. Advanced Excel application skills is advantageous (VBA ability is a plus).
  • Good presentation and project management skills, plus strong business sense.
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
  • Self-motivated, Fast, accurate, numerate, detail-minded and prepared to go extra mile for career development.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work under tight deadlines or changing client needs
  • Some exposure to HR/C&B-related consulting work is preferred.
