Job Role: Interim Site Engineering Manager

Location: Glasgow area

Job Type: Temporary Interim Contract

Pay rate: \xc2\xa3400 \xe2\x80\x93 500 per day target band, Inside Scope

Ongoing 3 month contract potential

As the Interim Site Engineering Manager, You will lead the site engineering team to deliver a world-class Engineering and Maintenance service and ensure the efficient production of consumer goods.

You will lead the Engineering team in providing essential maintenance operations, whilst maintaining Health & Safety Standards, abiding by GMP to provide maximum manufacturing efficiency of the site.

It\xe2\x80\x99s a large FMCG Manufacturing site, growing and with big ideas! A hands on leadership position - FRONT-LINE VISIBLE LEADERSHIP OF YOUR FIRST LINE MANAGERS and craft team of up to 30 multi-skilled engineers.

Role and Requirements \xe2\x80\x93 Interim Site Engineering Manager

• A role which will lead all frontline engineering maintenance and project improvement activities of the factory \xe2\x80\x93 Process, packaging lines, up to all reporting directly to you Via your frontline engineering shift managers
• Responsible for the implementation of World Class Optimised Maintenance Strategies, driving the lowest cost solutions for reliability across the site through effective predictive and preventative maintenance strategies
• Responsible for root cause analysis, championing and managing corrective actions through your teams of engineers
• Mentoring, developing and managing a team of engineers
• You will devise and ensure a robust and responsive maintenance strategy
• Development and delivery of the operational Asset Care strategy through the reduction of unplanned losses and improvement
• You will be responsible for the reliability and improvement of production lines, process and packaging assets
• You will implement and manage both maintenance and capital expenditure budgets for your factory, utilising various operational methodologies such as supplier optimisation, minimal inventories, and asset management techniques
• Managing a fixed engineering budget and Capital Expenditure budget

Qualifications and Requirements \xe2\x80\x93 Interim Site Engineering Manager

• Demonstrating extensive experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment, such as food and drink, chemicals, pharmaceutical or high volume continuous process and complex manufacturing
• Ideally graduate calibre, apprentice trained and a proven track record in the delivery of significant engineering tasks through people, plant
• You will have finely developed interpersonal and communication skills and the natural ability to inspire and lead teams
• You will also have the ability to identify improvement opportunities and monitor individual and team performance.
• Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
