Interim Project Accountant
Job Description
An Interim Project Accountant is sought to join this Bolton based charitable organisation to focus on process improvements and financial control.
The organisations works with children, adults and community groups providing day and residential activities to include nationally accredited courses with recognised UK associations. A long established organisation with the community at the heart of everything it does, a project accountant/financial controller is sought to provide support in all areas of finance.
The organisation is seeking a qualified accountant with experience in implementing financial control.
You will thrive off process improvement and deep diving, you will have previous experience looking at systems and processes, making recommendations for change, implementing efficiences.
Reporting into the FD of the parent company, key duties will include:
- Evaluating current finance systems and process, making recommendations for change
- looking at payroll, salaries and staff numbers
- Ensuring income is correctly accounted for
- Setting up a PO system
- Implementing an expense process, petty cash invoice system, correct signatories
- Evaluate tthe financial regulation document, recommend improvements
- Management of two finance assistants
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA accountant or QBE accountant with experience in process improvement.
- Available immediately for 3 month period
- Xero advantageous but not essential
