If you would like to help build the future, we hope you will join us on our journey.Fastmarkets is owned by global private equity firm Astorg, a specialist investor in healthcare, software, technology, business services and technology-based industrial companies.Procurement is a newly created function for Fastmarkets, following separation from a FTSE 250 PLC. This role will be crucial in developing the procurement and vendor assurance capability fit for Fastmarkets alongside providing analytical support for the team and undertaking tactical procurement activities (in the IT procurement space). Whilst this role is broad, it is critical to the success of the function going forward.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAnalyst

  • Develop and maintain a method and tool for compliance to the Procurement Policy, and monitor and report regularly to the Head of Procurement.
  • Monitor the general Procurement Mailbox, promptly answer and resolve any queries or ensure that any outstanding questions are allocated to the correct person to resolve.
  • Support the business with any queries pertaining to the creation of purchase order requisitions, ensuring they correctly align to the spend categories and nominal ledger codes.
  • Track and report for the function all savings achieved against agreed targets.
  • Support the wider Procurement function in preparing documentation such as contract approvals and tender documents and other activities as required.
  • Develop and maintain a set of \xe2\x80\x9cpreferred supplier lists\xe2\x80\x9d, monitor and measure effectiveness and conformance and report to the Head of Procurement any non-compliance for action.
  • Maintain the Procurement Database on behalf of the Procurement function, create and produce reports as required.
IT Category Specialist
  • Support the business with tactical opportunities within the IT Procurement categories ensuring any activity delivers value, specifically by:
  • Developing optimum routes to market based on market developments and business requirements.
  • Developing clear service specification documents that enable best service provision fit.
  • Undertaking tactical sourcing negotiations and renewals to maximise value and innovation whilst minimising risk.
  • Maintain good working relationships with suppliers and stakeholders across the business within the IT categories.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement activities to deliver savings for the IT categories.
Vendor Assurance
  • Onboard new vendors and undertake all due diligence as required by the Procurement function in accordance with the Procurement Policy and provide support to the business for any self-serve due diligence they are required to do, always ensuring there is appropriate auditory evidence created and stored.
  • Maintain and create reports, as required of approved and non-approved suppliers, and always ensure compliance for use only of approved suppliers.

  • A good knowledge of commercial models and approach/techniques necessary to achieve great commercial outcomes.
  • A track record with category management experience within the assigned IT portfolio.
  • A good understanding of relationship management and networking skills and experience, required for both key stakeholder and supplier engagement.
  • An ability to learn and develop a strong knowledge of the Procurement Policy and Playbooks to ensure the consistency in process and the best outcomes are delivered for Fastmarkets.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Good relationship management and influencing skills to build strong working relationships with suppliers and stakeholders across the business.
  • Good communication skills to be able to extract detail and evidence as required from colleagues and/or suppliers.
  • Strong analytical skills being comfortable in analysing and interrogating data (however incomplete) and building up trend analysis and being able to create user-friendly reports for the Procurement team and the wider business.
  • Basic understanding of procurement and vendor assurance (third party risk management) processes.
  • Advanced level of PC literacy particularly in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • A good knowledge of contract drafting with the ability to work with Legal colleagues to achieve a robust agreement.
