Interim Head of Financial Accounting xe2x80x93 Higher EducationLocation: Hybrid/London
Day Rate: xc2xa3800-xc2xa31000 (Inside IR35) dependant on experience
Contract Length: 6-9 monthsOur higher education client is seeking an Interim Head of Financial Accounting to lead their financial reporting function during a critical period.Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the Group Financial Statements and manage the statutory audit within strict deadlines.
- Oversee the Financial Accounting team, ensuring high-quality financial reporting in a complex environment.
- Lead the year-end process, working closely with a Big 4 audit firm to resolve technical accounting and audit issues.
- Work flexibly, at times supporting the Deputy Head of Financial Accounts and at other times leading the team.
- Collaborate with the Finance Director and wider finance team.
- Prepare complex consolidations and be fully hands-on with general ledger postings when required.
- CCAB Qualified
- Proven experience leading complex year-end processes.
- Strong technical accounting expertise and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Hands-on experience in consolidations and general ledger postings.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with a detailed, hands-on approach.
