WHAT TO EXPECT
We are looking to appoint a talented Integration Lead Engineer to be a first point of contact for external stakeholders associated to Electric Drive Unit (EDU) design changes. You\'ll be capable of assessing the impacts on the design integration of the complete EDU and ensure designs are compatible with all stakeholder requirements.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
This opportunity supports the assembly of the whole unit and how it interacts with other components to be a complete drive unit to not only meet but supersede customer expectations on vehicle performance during the vehicles lifecycle
In support of this you\'ll resolve issues with component engineering and vehicle attribute teams to develop designs that meet targets and ensure all appropriate JLR standards are met throughout design maturation.
Provide input into new feature development and ensure all programme design solutions meet along with ensuring there is design compatibility between all components
You\'ll also have the opportunity to ensure the design has the capacity to achieve the target attributes and ensure component design change requests are compatible with the assembly process
WHAT YOU\'LL NEED
This opportunity will go to someone with knowledge of the sub systems of an EDU and have experience of managing resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment.
Someone with experience of working with internal and external partners and ability to deal with multiple inputs and arbitrate between the requests and the deliverable output.
Whilst not essential it is highly desirable to have a good working knowledge of product creation and delivery, change control, product definition and change management processes and be degree qualified in a relatable field.
