Strategic Risk Solutions, the world's largest insurance company manager, is looking for an insurance professional to join the Guernsey team at this exciting time of growth. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the insurance industry and be minimum DIP CII qualified, or similar.
Required: local Guernsey residential licence, or current holder of a Guernsey employment permit.
Principle Accountabilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day insurance servicing of a diverse portfolio of clients
Providing technical support to junior team members to ensure that the affairs of regulated insurance and reinsurance companies are managed to a high standard
Knowledge of the underwriting requirements of the clients and the contractual frameworks in which they operate
Processing insurance transactions within set parameters, liaising with third parties to ensure compliance with the parameters and referring transactions to the board where needed
Managing specific client email inboxes where necessary
Preparing and/or reviewing insurance and reinsurance policy documentation, quotations and slips
Maintaining registers of (re)insurance documentation and client insurance programmes
Review and approval of premium and claims bordereaux
Overseeing claims determination and claims handling
Assisting with audits of outsourced activities
Review and handle complaints
Regular client contact and management
Assist with the coordination of client Underwriting Committee and Board Meetings as required including the preparation of reports for the inclusion in meeting papers
Serve as the Manager Representative on Client specific Underwriting Committee's as required from time to time
Advising on insurance developments and insurance market conditions
Assisting with ad hoc project work as requested from time to time.
Attributes and Skills:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the insurance industry
Minimum DIP CII qualified or similar qualification
Strong focus on client service to ensure clients receive a high standard of service at all times
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with the ability to back the wider team where attention to detail, time management and prioritisation skills are essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
