Working within our Operations team we have an exciting opportunity for you to build on your knowledge and experience support customers in a field-based role. The key to success is to be a self-motivated to provide the highest level of customer service!
Key Responsibilities:
Installing security systems according to System Design Specification adhering to Industry Standards
Carry out scheduled maintenance checks as per the agreed standards to all areas of installed security systems
Trouble shoot, fault find, resolve or replace issues with security hardware and cabling
Complete all field visit paperwork for both installation and maintenance visits as per the agreed iFacility standards before leaving site
Provide basic training of systems with customers on site
Update customers with outcomes of visits to sites, confirm next actions and revisits as needed. Making sure this information is conveyed to the remote support team to arrange next actions and revisits
Maintain personal learning and updates in knowledge of systems used and changes to hardware and installation methods
Adhere to all Health and Safety training and legislation, keeping your knowledge updated to changes within this area
Participation in in-house or external training activities including certification and H&S training as required
Any other duties required to carry out the role of Installation and Support Engineer
Essential Experience -Skills Knowledge and Behaviour:
Set an example of excellent quality and safety when installing security systems.
Experience of using hand and power tools for the installation of CCTV Systems
Demonstrate capability to work in line with Health and Safety legislation as well as working in a safe manner at all time for yourself and others on site
Demonstrate attention to detail while installing and maintaining systems
Have a good range of experience in different business sectors such a retail, manufacturing, security installation
Working on a range of brands of manufacturer security products
Demonstrate you have worked in a range of environments with minimal guidance
Demonstrate flexibility within working hours and work schedule
Able to travel including overnight stays for training or work outside of region as requested
Installation, routine maintenance and troubleshooting experience on Intruder system
Installation, routine maintenance and troubleshooting for Access systems
Installation, routine, maintenance and experience on CCTV systems and data installations.
Be able to pass security vetting- DBS, Credit check and references for up to 7 years previous employment
Adhere to Company policies and procedures
Promoting the Company through best practice, maintaining personal and vehicle presentation
Qualifications:
Hold a valid CSCS / ECS card or be prepared to attend training
Minimum of 2 years' experience in security installation and maintenance (experience in all areas is not essential, but a broad skill set is preferred)
Understanding of quality standards
UK Driving licence - Essential
Good computer skills
Experience of driving a Company van, tools and equipment
