An exciting new opportunity has arisen, for a highly motivated and experienced Innovation Strengthening Capacity (ICS) Manager to join our team at LSTM. The Innovation Capacity Strengthening (ICS) Manager will be a pivotal contributor to the Research England funded FLIGHT programme at LSTM. Reporting to the Head of Innovation Capacity Strengthening, this role will spearhead and execute LSTM-focused ICS activities, collaborating closely with partner Higher Education ICS managers within the FLIGHT programme. The primary responsibility involves delivering day-to-day aspects of the LSTM-centred FLIGHT programme, coordinating with the broader HEI and partner FLIGHT team, and ensuring alignment with the program\'s KPIs and outcomes. Key Deliverables will include (but not limited to): Remit and Delivery: Delivery involves meeting LSTM-specific FLIGHT program goals and KPIs under the FLIGHT Programme Lead\'s guidance. Collaboration within the wider HEI FLIGHT team is crucial for synergy. Generating analysis reports and documentation helps in monitoring and reporting program performance to funders and at FLIGHT Governance and Steering Meetings. Driving FLIGHT workstream activity, including analysis, market research, and partner engagement, falls under this remit. Collaboration with the E&I management team contributes to capacity strengthening. Coordinating FLIGHT training offerings and providing intelligence on the innovation landscape are also part of these responsibilities. Collaborating with RMS and Academic colleagues to support Knowledge Exchange and venture creation activities is essential. Innovation Capacity Strengthening: Supporting the development of ICS as a research theme involves identifying and pursuing external opportunities. Contributions to grant submissions emphasizing ICS-related endeavours and publications in peer-reviewed journals are significant. Involvement in E&I opportunities for LSTM\'s Global Hubs and overseeing existing innovation relationships through LSTM and FLIGHT are key components. Providing training for LSTM/FLIGHT staff and partners on innovation-related initiatives and focusing on partnerships in LMICs for sustainable innovation ecosystems are critical tasks. Identifying strategic partnership opportunities aligning with LSTM\xe2\x80\x99s innovation portfolio is also vital. Marketing, Communications, and External Relations: Acting as a liaison for LSTM\xe2\x80\x99s external innovation opportunities and representing LSTM\xe2\x80\x99s interests at external innovation events and meetings is an essential responsibility. Aligning activities with LSTM\'s external communication strategies helps maintain consistency. Expanding LSTM\'s network of external stakeholders through proactive engagement and event attendance is crucial. Providing insights on the market and competitor landscape aids in decision-making. Promoting and elevating LSTM\'s profile to external audiences remains a priority in this domain. The ideal candidate will have proven strong interpersonal skills; be solution-focused with the ability to influence and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
