Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, entrepreneurial Paralegal to join a rapidly scaling, start up business at a very exciting time.

Requirements:

- dealing with property transactions is essential (ideally in commercial property transactions)

- drafting and negotiating leases - drafting and negotiating agreements for leases

- drafting and negotiating ancillary property documentation such as deeds of grant, licences and HMLR documentation - obtaining searches, reviewing title documentation, raising enquiries and preparing reports on title

- Ability to work independently where needed in a fast-moving growing company

- Comfortable speaking with stakeholders at all levels and able to build a strong rapport with external solicitors

- Interest in the renewable energy space together with a firm grasp of developments in property law generally. - Experience of HMLR registrations and SDLT.

Beneficial:

- Experience/interest in reviewing, negotiating, and drafting commercial contracts

- Experience/interest in reviewing, negotiating, and drafting non-disclosure agreements

- Knowledge of the Electricity Act 1989 - Familiar with substation lease negotiations and knowledge of the DNO/IDNO processes

• Experience in reviewing and commenting on commercial contracts desirable, but not essential.

• Willingness to undertake tasks including non-legal tasks as needed.
• Good IT and communication skills.
