WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

What you\'ll be doing...

As a Service Engineer within Asset and Invoice Finance infrastructure team, you\'ll utilise your knowledge and expertise in a variety of methodologies and toolsets to assist with implementing, developing, and supporting complex infrastructure containing a myriad of applications utilised by Commercial Banking

You\xe2\x80\x99ll collaborate with support, project, and platform teams to tackle incidents and problems and deliver change using multifaceted agile methodologies.

You have the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and understanding as well as develop, practice, and demonstrate the workplace skills and behaviours required for the role. You will also be encouraged to build close working relationships with stakeholders and supporting teams.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyse specified incident, problems, and issues to find the best technical solutions.
  • Establishing and understanding root cause with the strive to build measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment for emergency repairs, performance preventive maintenance routines, conduct inspections and aid installation of complex infrastructure.
  • Responds to individual and team objectives and invests in improving personal performance by growing own skills and capabilities.
  • Continuous improvement: Identifies shortcomings in existing processes. Collaborates with others, demonstrating innovative thinking to develop and implement improvements.
  • Track infrastructure performance and currency in line with risk parameters and identify any major deviation to the risk appetite. Utilising the risk framework to resolve.

A driven and hard-working candidate with good communication skills. Comfortable working with a wide range of technical colleagues with a desire to solve problems. You\xe2\x80\x99ll take a collaborative approach and be genuinely passionate to make a difference.

Essential:
  • A good level of technical maturity with a proven background in infrastructure maintenance/support.
  • Solid experience with VMWare infrastructure
  • Experience of the incident and problem management process, tooling, and governance.
Desirable:
  • Infrastructure storage knowledge including NetApp and Brocade
  • Experience with Windows server management and maintenance
  • Experience using SCCM for patching, build and compliance.
  • Knowledge of SQL database and configuration
  • Knowledge of SCOM
  • Understanding of Windows clusters.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
  • Knowledge of HyperV.
  • Experience with HP hardware
  • Knowledge of OneView
  • Understanding of Active Directory administration.
  • A good understanding of ServiceNow and governing processes.
Additional Information:

Out of hours working to cover changes and 24x7 call out may be required.
