Role: Infrastructure Manager
Job Purpose
Infrastructure Managers will be a subject matter expert in their technology tower. They will be responsible for delivering Infrastructure Improvement Programmes with accountability for budgets up to \xc2\xa31 million and will be required to liaise with numerous stakeholders (via recognised governance forums) as detailed below -
Senior Infrastructure Managers - Infrastructure Managers may be called upon to support the delivery of major Infrastructure Improvement Programmes where the Senior Infrastructure Manager will provide strategic guidance.
Architecture - work with them to ensure they understand current setup and problems experienced. Conversely infrastructure managers need to advise architecture on where improvements are required to improve service delivery (in terms of fixing repeat incidents - i.e. problems)
Technology Portfolios - work with them to ensure that when developing and launching new services that their programmes confirm to good solid infrastructure standards - solid foundations as well as longevity of investment.
Supplier and Partners - build strong relationships and collaborate with them with when making technology related decisions
Service Management - act as the central point of contact when making technology related decisions / service improvement plans (incidents, change, etc). - Infrastructure Managers may be actively involved during incident management or service restoration.
