You will be able to find a full Job description and Person Specification attached within the supporting documents or please click Apply now to view in Trac The post holder will: Support the Head of Information Governance in the development, implementation and maintenance of a corporate information governance framework and supporting policies, procedures and standards to enable compliance with relevant UK law and NHS standards. Lead in the development of Data Protection Impact Assessments. Manage personal data requests (including being the contact point with other organisations). Manage potential breaches of legislation.
Assist in the development of information sharing agreements with partner organisations and third parties. Preparing statistics and papers for information governance and subcommittee meetings. Manage the IG response for any data breach or potential data breach incidents, including reporting to the Information Commissioner, as appropriate. Develop and participate with the Health Boards Information Governance audit programme.
Assist with audits to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies and procedures. Lead on the management of the information asset register. Review policy and procedures to ensure they are relevant to UK and EU Law or NHS policy. Act as a model of good practice in information governance, with appropriate discretion in any sensitive areas of work.

Provide advice and assistance to hosted bodies and managed GP Practices. Maintain the Information governance intranet pages to ensure accurate up to date information is available. Communicate complex analysis of investigations to a range of stakeholders and service users that makes it easy for them to understand.
To prepare agenda and papers as required and support the information governance group. Analyse situations and information to resolve a range of difficulties. Prioritise tasks whilst at the same time ensuring a complex mix of tasks are completed to deadlines. Deputise at training sessions as and when required.
