You'll be joining our BAS Estates team, specifically the Digital Estates team, who work closely with our engineers and subject matter experts to ensure we are able to keep our estates maintained and operational 24/7. We work closely with the wider Estates team to ensure that any digital capability we implement will work for them and make their jobs easier.
You'll help us to deliver on our Digital Estates Strategy, which includes a complete overhaul and organisation of our document management system and the implementation of a new Common Data Environment, the implementation of bespoke naming conventions and our
very early entry into ensuring our documentation is classified correctly. There is the opportunity to provide input into the building of tools to support with validating document exchanges with the Antarctic Infrastructure Modernisation Programme projects and to work with external partners to ensure BAS have received all required information
Within the role, there will be an opportunity to develop BIM, construction and project management knowledge, as well as learning how a CAFM system works. We are able to provide training both in-house and also any external training required. We're committed to ensuring our staff are continually developing in the areas they would find most beneficial.
Current projects the team are working on include the Antarctic Infrastructure Modernisation Programme projects which are designing, building and redeveloping our Polar Estate. We're also beginning our journey to become a digital enabled Estate, and a digitally capable client, which means it's a great time to join the team to help shape what our forward digital strategy can look like!

Some of your main responsibilities will include:
Act as the main point of contact for ongoing support and coaching in information management for BAS Estates internally, and across third parties such as the AIMP and supply chain.
Validation, checking and curation of all incoming and outgoing project documentation to the Estates CDE, which may include distribution through technical review workflows to various members of the team.

For the role of Information Coordinator, we are looking for somebody who has:
Comprehension of industry standard naming conventions. ISO 19650-2 National Annex preferred, but experience managing and creating bespoke naming conventions advantageous.
Competent experience with various Common Data Environments and Document Management Systems (such as Sharepoint) along with the Microsoft 365 suite of tools, specifically Excel, Word and Teams.
Must be able to prioritise your workload - sometimes we can have multiple exchanges of information happening at the same time which need to be managed and tracked accurately
