At HVP Security Shutters Ltd we are always on the lookout for people who have a proven track record as a roller shutter engineer and the ambition to further their skill range through experience and external examination. Many people entering the roller shutter/door industry progress over time taking on a variety of job roles becoming senior managers or specialists in certain aspects of the trade - the financial rewards are there too.

Our standard working hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm but we do travel which brings with it the opportunity to earn overtime. A typical salary range for an engineer, experienced in all types of industrial door installation and is happy to travel can expect to earn in excess of 40,000 per annum.

Starting salary depends on many factors, such as necessary experience, qualifications, and willingness to travel.

Candidate will be given branded work-ware and an allowance for non-branded work-ware. Specialist tools including all power tools and an allowance for replacement of own tools.

Responsibilities

Conduct site survey assessments to determine the best solutions for product suitability - in particular health and safety compliance. Carry out the installation process, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Perform regular maintenance and inspections of existing door systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to door functionality or mechanical failures. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to industrial doors.

Qualifications

Proven experience in relation to industrial doors systems. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and engineering principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ideally, hold a DHF Level 2 award in Industrial and Garage door safety, NVQ level 2 Diploma in Door Gate and Shutter systems.
