We are currently recruiting experienced Housing Income Officers on behalf of a Housing Association, to work on a full-time, 3 month temporary to permanent opportunity with the flexibility of hybrid working where you will be required to be in the office once a week
You will be responsible for delivering an efficient rent collection service, managing a caseload of rent accounts for tenants who have fallen into arrears, identifying support needs of customers and offering basic benefits & welfare advice and guidance, and making referrals or signposting to relevant agencies.
You will ensure that the appropriate legal action is taken to recover any outstanding debts, and if required, represent at court proceedings and evictions.
We are looking for candidates who are experienced in chasing rent arrears from customers, ideally within a housing setting and a strong knowledge & understanding of the housing and welfare benefits system.
You will hold excellent customer service and communication skills, and have a pro-active approach to work with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
Interested candidates MUST have a background in Social Housing
