We are seeking to appoint an experienced leader with a sound understanding of pedagogy and specialist ALN knowledge to join our inclusion service. The successful candidate will need a working knowledge of external and internal policy and practice relating to pupils with SEN/ALN. This post will be one of three Inclusion Managers, working under the direction of the Interim Service Manager for Inclusion and Youth Services. An ability to travel across Powys is essential.
Fixed term until 31/08/2024, secondment opportunity.

What you will do:
The inclusion role is very varied and members of the service deal with a wide range of people and community organisations: parents and carers; schools, early education settings and colleges; health professionals such as therapists and paediatricians; social workers; family support workers. You will have a key role in leading on support for other vulnerable groups and statutory processes, including education tribunals. You will also be expected to represent the service manager for inclusion and youth services at a corporate, regional and national level. The ability to plan and deliver high quality training to a variety of stakeholders is essential.
