The Role

Positioned within Cunard\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s PR and Events team, the Inaugural Communication Manager will play a key role devising, shaping, leading and delivering communications to support the inaugural celebrations of Cunard\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s new ship Queen Anne who will be entering service in May 2024

This role is a fixed term contract for nine months.

You will:

• Devise VIP, dignitaries, guest, trade and internal communications to deliver all of the required events and campaigns involved in the lead up to and for the arrival of Queen Anne in Southampton.
• Collaborate with channel owners to manage and develop the communications and to ensure a consistent approach to all inaugural communications and branding
• Build a central requirements and timeline document to capture all event collateral and branding requests across all key departments and channels for each event
• Produce detailed briefs for all design elements of the individual event activity, ensuring the briefs are submitted to the creative studio in good time to ensure delivery timelines are met
• Oversee Front of House branding and installation, including working with port operation teams
• Manage a budget, including forecasting, payments, tracking spend and reconciliation

Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK08 and is offered on a full time 9 month fixed term contract basis, with at least two days based in our Southampton office

About You

• Previous Communication or PR experience
• Excellent communication skills along with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across departments
• Experience of managing budgets and costs
