Job Description

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is seeking applications from individuals for the role of Operational Support Officerwithin the ICT Department based at Service Headquarters, Carmarthen.

The Role

The above vacancy exists for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to lead, manage, develop and support the deployment and running of critical emergency service communication devices, systems and infrastructure.

This role will represent the Service at industry events, contacts with suppliers and meetings with other fire and emergency services. The role is also the ICT lead for Mid and West Wales Fire at our joint control room. Some work may require enhanced security clearance.

The post is 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday) with flexible working, and is based at Service Headquarters, Carmarthen. It may require some infrequent occasional travel and overnight stays and also may be required to provide on-call support on a rota basis out of normal working hours (with additional pay).
