Overview:
As a Network Solution Architect required for a leading high-profile client organization. The successful candidate will be supporting the Senior Lead Network Architect.
-The successful candidate will be an experienced and methodical individual who is confident creating solution architectures, conducting network design reviews and documentation for Enterprise IT projects. 
-The successful candidate will be able to work on multiple projects with stakeholders and suppliers to a global scale.
Projects can range from network assessments and hardware refresh to introducing new network architectures including ---Azure/AWS LAN compute environments and Software-Defined networks.
-Previous hands-on experience is required to demonstrate the skills required for this role.
-The successful candidate will have strong soft skills to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders and 3rd parties.

Network Competencies:

-Must have excellent communication skills able to communicate at all levels from Senior Management to stake holders of the business
-Must have consultancy skills - the role is working in our professional services team. The role requires you to be on a customer site.
-Must be prepared to occasionally travel across the UK, Europe, and US 6-8+ years of experience in Routing & Switching, design, configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Experience managing common network services such as DHCP and DNS.
-Knowledge of and certification for TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VoIP, QoS, IPSec, routing/switch/security technologies such as Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Barracuda, Bluecoat, Palo Alto Firewalls, AWS, and Azure networking, Aruba technologies, VPN (ZPA/Cisco/Pulse Secure/IPSEC/SSL). 

Key Experience to show in the interview:

-Designing cloud network environments and the automation and scripting around it to provision/change
-Connectivity patterns for on-prem to cloud – this is to connect virtual private cloud environments (VPC’s or VNET’s) to the enterprise environment. Typically with dedicated services (eg. Express route) with connectivity established through carrier-neutral facilities.
-Security patterns with Cloud hosted Firewall, WAF, ZScaler and other Security services – this is for ‘internal protection’ as well as for public Internet access.
-Integration patterns and API interconnects (Moogsoft)
-Use of Cloud network service to complement or simplify more traditional connectivity patterns – for the SDU work, we’re developing so-called Transit-VPC (/Transit Gateway) services to allow much better control over VPC environments and easy integration.
-Ability to solve complex problems and perform network tuning based on in-depth performance and protocol analysis for network infrastructure
-Team-oriented mindset, flexible in working directly with all levels of users and management
-Able to troubleshoot and escalate effectively
-Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
-Supplier and vendor management is key.
