We are seeking a proactive, collaborative, and highly organised HR Officer to join our growing team. Reporting to the board, this role is central to supporting the employee life cycle and building a positive and effective people culture across our schools.

Key Responsibilities
Support recruitment processes from posting job ads to onboarding new staff
Maintain and improve HR records and systems, ensuring compliance with safer recruitment and safeguarding standards
Manage day-to-day HR operations including contracts, absences, payroll input, and staff queries
Coordinate and deliver induction and training sessions
Assist in developing HR policies and procedures aligned with best practice and employment law
Contribute to a culture of staff wellbeing, inclusion, and professional growth across the group
Liaise with school heads and department leads to ensure consistent HR practices across all campuses
Support HR-related reporting and audit requirements
What We're Looking for
At least three years experience in HR role, ideally within independent schools or other education sector
Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
Strong administrative and communication skills
Discretion, empathy, and a high level of professional integrity
A flexible, team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently
Experience with HRIS systems and familiarity with safeguarding/DBS processes (desirable)
