The role of the HR Manager is to work with the senior management team to align HR strategy with overall business goals, provide expert HR guidance and support to other managers and colleagues.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY
Manage all aspects of HR within the business unit, including payroll, employee relations, general HR administration, training and development, recruitment, Health & Safety support and maintaining and improving HR systems.
Provide support, advice and direction, where needed, on staff resources, company policy, structure, remuneration, personnel issues and opportunities.
Ensure compliance to policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
Ensure our onboarding and induction processes are handled appropriately, to expedite the settling in period.
Develop employee engagement and support welfare activities.
Work with the team to satisfy staffing requirements. Manage job descriptions and handbooks.
Develop and implement a succession planning policy.
Manage performance review, delivering continuous employee appraisal and development.
Ensure employee training is fit for purpose, well delivered and monitored.
Enabled all team members to access appropriate guidance and information to manage their employee experience.
Ensure the offboarding process is handled in a professional manner.
Ensure internal HR communications, including issues, initiatives and programmes are well planned, coordinated, relevant, timely and adhere to the company's values.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA (demonstrate on application)

A relevant degree or professional qualification in HR

Experience in a HR generalist role

Knowledge of relevant employment legislation

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills

Strong understanding of HR principles and practices

Experience within a manufacturing or related industry

Knowledge of H&S legislation within a manufacturing or related industry
