We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HSE Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting health, safety, and environmental standards within our organisation. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. The HSE Advisor will work closely with various departments to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Duties
Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Prepare detailed reports on findings from inspections, incidents, and investigations.
Facilitate root cause analysis for incidents to prevent recurrence and improve safety measures.
Provide training and support to employees on health and safety practices, including first aid procedures.
Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the organisation.
Monitor legislative changes related to health, safety, and environmental issues and advise on necessary adjustments to policies.
Assist in the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills as required.
Requirements
Proven experience in a health, safety, or environmental role is essential.
Strong report writing skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
Proficient in conducting root cause analysis to identify underlying issues related to incidents.
First aid certification is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
