We currently have a vacancy for a HR Officer, this position comes with fantastic progressive and development opportunities, perfect for an individual looking to grow their knowledge and skills in the HR sector. This role comes with many exciting responsibilities from generalist HR administrative duties to being heavily involved in high volume employee relation casework such as, absence and sickness management, liaising with occupational health, recruitment, probations, updating and delivering all people policies and driving wellbeing and engagement projects.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the recruitment and onboarding of new employees, to include writing and developing job descriptions, reviews applications, carry out inductions & right to work checks
Manage apprentices reviews
Raise contracts of employment for all new employees.
Maintain diary and records of probation reviews ensuring managers carry out within the timeline & review.
Advising managers on matters of salaries, redundancy and employment law
Refer and deal with employees occupational health assessments
Develop and implement policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management.
Support company absence management.
Advise line managers in how to implement company policies & procedures.
Minute taking for grievances & disciplinaries.
Maintain records for company benefits.
Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation.
Cover payroll officer role during absences & annual leave. (training will be provided)
Developing programmes that enhance employee relations.
Person Specification
Comprehensive and practical knowledge of employment law
Generalist HR Advisor experience
Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly those associated with influencing and persuading.
Sociably confident with strong verbal and written interpersonal skills.
Competent on Microsoft Office & Package
