My client is looking for an exceptional HR Assistant with CIPD Level 3 Qualified (or working towards it), who is seeking new opportunities. The ideal candidate would need to come from an insurance background.
Job Summary:
We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant to join a small and friendly Human Resources team. As an integral part of the team, you will provide professional HR support across the First Title group. This role will involve various HR activities, including recruitment, employee onboarding, HR system management, employee relations, and HR projects. This fast-paced position offers a diverse range of responsibilities and the chance to learn and develop within the HR field.
Role Profile:
As a Human Resources Assistant, you will work collaboratively with the HR team to deliver comprehensive HR services to managers and employees. Your main responsibilities will include providing general HR support, managing recruitment processes, conducting inductions, overseeing employee relations matters, maintaining the HR system, generating reports, and participating in HR projects. Additionally, you will be involved in facilities management, health and safety compliance, and employee workplace assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Support:
Assist with various HR activities and provide support to managers and employees.
Prepare job descriptions, and advertisements, and collaborate with recruitment agencies.
Manage the onboarding process for new employees, including conducting company inductions.
Handle family-friendly processes and facilitate the leaver process, including exit interviews.
Support employee relations matters, such as investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
HR System Management:
Maintain and update employee records using the HR system (currently Cascade).
Approve requests, run queries, and monitor the Cascade task list.
Prepare monthly management reports and ad hoc reports, conducting relevant analysis.
Play a key role in the transition to the Workday HR system in 2024.
HR Projects:
Own or support cyclical and ad hoc HR projects, such as performance and salary reviews.
Assist with the implementation of the SM&CR process, CPD initiatives, and benefit renewals.
Ensure projects are executed smoothly and completed within designated timeframes.
Facilities Management and Compliance:
Oversee facilities for our offices, including health and safety requirements.
Conduct statutory audits in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Perform employee workplace assessments as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in a similar HR support role is desirable.
Knowledge of HR practices and processes.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Proficiency in using HR systems, preferably Cascade or similar systems.
Ability to generate reports and perform basic data analysis.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proactive approach and ability to take ownership of tasks and projects.
Familiarity with employment laws and regulations is a plus.
