As part of a small HR team, you will play a key role in providing first line generalist HR advice and support to employees and line managers alike. You will have experience of writing policies and procedures, dealing with all ER matters including investigations, disciplinary, grievance and absence issues, coaching, recruitment and on-boarding, sourcing and delivering training, and associated admin tasks. You will also be asked to monitor our TNA system, working closely with our Payroll Officer, and therefore experience of the Fourth platform will be an advantage, although training will be given. This is very much a hands-on role and will suit someone prepared to take on whatever personnel issue they may be confronted with, whilst presenting an approachable but professional and knowledgeable stance.
You will work with all departments across both ZSEA sites, and at all levels, and therefore excellent communication skills are essential. You will thrive and remain calm under pressure, display empathy and understanding, and be an advocate for change management.
The culture at ZSEA very much encourages individuals to help out with other teams when required - on busy days, you may even find yourself clearing tables in a Catering outlet, directing cars in the car park or manning a walk-through area talking to visitors - so having a "can-do" approach is essential.
Role purpose
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy and close-knit HR and Payroll team. You will be involved in a variety of projects that support different areas of the team, and whilst you will find that no two days are the same, your workload will be based on providing a full HR advisory and administrative support service.
