Join our HR department as a HR Advisor based at our Head Office in Lee Mill, Ivybridge and unlock a world of possibilities. This role is your gateway to a challenging and fulfilling career. The post of HR Advisor is designed to facilitate continued career progression with opportunities for study support and training. This opportunity allows for you to join our businesses as an advisor but with the expectation from both parties that you will progress to be our future HR Manager. The below responsibilities are a starting point to move toward department control and ownership.
Key Responsibilities Day-to-Day:
Develop, update and maintain Employee Handbook, HR policies and procedures and advise management of policy matters
Staying informed of up-to-date employment laws and regulations related to employee's relations and disciplinary actions.
Manage employee matters, performance management, conducting investigations, grievance/disciplinaries to more complex issues
Manage recruitment, from advertising to supporting management with CV's selection and interviews to onboarding and exit interviews
Monitor sickness/absence producing monthly reports and supporting managers with attendance issues
Maintaining HR employee records, GDPR and Confidentiality
Develop, update and maintain employee benefits
Assisting with employee communications, surveys and milestone recognition.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
CIPD Level 3, working towards level 5
Strong HR knowledge, IT proficiency (Microsoft Office)
Excellent communication skills
Compassion, integrity, flexibility, and problem solving
Excellent planning, organisation and prioritising skills
Ability to multitask and good time management

Monday to Friday 40hrs per week - Office based with some travel to our other depots as and when required.
