Job Purpose / Overview
At HSL, we're all about making an impact--and we want YOU to be a part of it! We're looking for a passionate, driven HR Administrator to join our HR team.
In this role, you'll be at the heart of the action, supporting both managers and employees while ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of employee data--from new starters to leavers. You'll oversee the full onboarding process, keeping everything compliant and on track for payroll deadlines.
Contextual Information
This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Head Office in Ross-on-Wye. The HR Administrator will report directly to the HR Director and will play a key role in the HR team, collaborating closely with the Payroll and HSEQ departments to ensure smooth HR operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update the HR database with accurate and up-to-date employee information.
Administer and file HR documentation, ensuring all records are accurate and compliant with company procedures.
Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries related to HR matters.
Provide HR reports to Line Managers, including holiday tracking, Bradford scores, and appraisals.
Assist in managing the end-to-end recruitment process by ensuring job postings, interviews, and selection procedures align with company policies and the employee lifecycle.
Support onboarding and offboarding procedures to ensure seamless integration of new hires and compliance with exit protocols, fostering a positive experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
Collaborate with Payroll to ensure accurate pay amendments for employees, in line with payroll deadlines.
Support the HR Team managing disciplinary and grievance cases.
Coordinate, book, and administer internal and external employee training programs.
Issue contracts of employment to new starters and process any contractual changes.
Apply for security checks (DBS) and liaise with Line Managers as required.
Update training records and issue training certificates to managers and employees
