About the Role
As
HR Admin
, you will support our team by handling key HR functions, ensuring accurate employee records, and providing administrative support in recruitment, payroll, and employee relations. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining compliance with HR policies and promoting a positive workplace culture.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Recruitment and Onboarding
:
Manage recruitment processes, including posting job vacancies, reviewing CVs, scheduling interviews, and conducting pre-employment checks.
Prepare and maintain new starter packs, including contracts and job descriptions.
Coordinate employee inductions to ensure new hires are fully informed of company policies and procedures.
HR Administration
:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records via BrightHR, ensuring all HR documents, such as policies and letters, are compliant and up to date.
Monitor long-term absences, scheduling return-to-work meetings promptly.
Track and update training plans, probation reviews, and personal development plans in collaboration with line managers.
Payroll and Benefits Administration
:
Prepare payroll documentation, review timesheets, and ensure accuracy before submitting data to the finance team.
Administer employee benefits, such as pensions, and respond to employee queries about pay and entitlements.
Track employee holidays, sickness, and absences in BrightHR.
Employee Relations and Engagement
:
Facilitate the Employee of the Month scheme and ensure staff birthdays are recognised.
Support the organisation of appraisals and performance reviews, ensuring they are completed on time.
Health & Safety Support
:
Ensure all health and safety documents are maintained, and relevant certifications such as first aid are up to date.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about HR and administration, with a commitment to creating an organised and positive workplace. While experience in HR administration is beneficial, we welcome candidates who are eager to learn and grow in the role.
Ideal Candidate Profile
:
Experience:
Previous HR administration experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with BrightHR or similar HR management systems is beneficial.
Qualifications:
CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent is advantageous.
Skills:
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
IT Skills:
Proficiency in HR management software and office tools
.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to resolve HR-related issues efficiently and effectively.
Working Hours & Flexibility:
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Occasional weekend work during periods of high demand.
Ability to commute to Somercotes is preferred.
