Housing Manager

Location: East Sussex - Hybrid Home & Community working across a patch of properties in the East Sussex area

Permanent, Full time (37.5 hpw)

Starting Salary circa \xc2\xa330,000 dependent on skills and experience with great benefits including Health Cash Plan

This is a great job opportunity for a Housing Manager to join Home Groups awesome housing team in our East Sussex Patch. As our Housing Manager you\xe2\x80\x99ll be the face-to-face customer support to our communities. This is the perfect job for you if you like variety and delivering excellent services to our customers and communities.

Typical day as a Housing Manager

\xc2\xb7 Through visibility, engagement with customers and proactivity on our estates, you\xe2\x80\x99ll really get to get to know our communities.

\xc2\xb7 You\xe2\x80\x99ll look after a number of patches and neighbourhoods (ably supported by our Community Housing Assistants).

\xc2\xb7 Proactively managing anti-social behaviours in our estates, responding to customer queries and complaints.

\xc2\xb7 Managing our voids process including liaising with local authorities.

\xc2\xb7 Carry out estate inspections, engaging and meeting with contractors on site, as well as carrying out and recording the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities.

About You

\xc2\xb7 Have worked in housing before and understand housing management, housing law and in an ideal world, universal credit too!

\xc2\xb7 Super organised and methodical in your approach, you\xe2\x80\x99re also a proactive self-starter with a \xe2\x80\x9ccan do\xe2\x80\x9d positive attitude.

\xc2\xb7 Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a genuine desire to help your customers.

\xc2\xb7 This job can challenge, especially when we\xe2\x80\x99re dealing with complaints, but your resilience will help you through.

\xc2\xb7 Confident working with external partners and stakeholders such as local authorities, MP\xe2\x80\x99s etc

\xc2\xb7 Like being part of a team but appreciate that this is a role where you\xe2\x80\x99ll spend most of your time working in our local estates.

Job details

\xc2\xb7 This is a hybrid role and in an average week, you\xe2\x80\x99ll spend 2-3 days working from our community patches across sites in Wealden, Uckfield and Eastbourne among others.

\xc2\xb7 Although you\xe2\x80\x99ll spend time in our neighbourhoods, we do get together regularly virtually and in person in our communities, with time working from home catching up on admin.

\xc2\xb7 We mainly work Monday to Friday and work occasional evenings to meet with customers. The great news is that you\xe2\x80\x99ll be able to shape your own diary.

\xc2\xb7 Flexible working hours or There may be some flexibility to adapt your working hours, do let us know about this when you meet us at the interview.

\xc2\xb7 To get from A to B, you\xe2\x80\x99ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we\xe2\x80\x99ll pay your mileage!

\xc2\xb7 You\xe2\x80\x99ll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
