preparing guest rooms to a high standard
to
helping maintain the overall cleanliness of the hotel
, bed & breakfast and cottage this role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work and loves making spaces feel inviting and comfortable.
Key Responsibilities
Supervising a small team of Housekeepers and organising team rotas.
Preparing and servicing guest rooms
to the highest standards, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable stay.
Cleaning and maintaining public areas
, including lounges, corridors, and the reception area.
Making and changing beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, hoovering, and replenishing toiletries and amenities.
Assisting with laundry
, ensuring fresh linens and towels are always available.
Carrying out
deep cleaning and maintenance tasks
during out-of-season months.
Keeping an eye on
room conditions
, reporting any maintenance issues to the management team and
ensuring quality standards
are met at all times.
Working efficiently to
meet daily room turnover times
while maintaining high standards.
Occasionally assisting in other areas of the hotel
, including breakfast setup or light housekeeping tasks in the coffee shop.
Taking stock checks of cleaning supplies and equipment placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
Upholding
health & safety and hygiene standards
at all times.
Train new housekeeping staff
on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures and company policies.
What We're Looking For
Experience in
housekeeping, cleaning, or hospitality
is preferred, but not essential--we provide training.
Someone who can
motivate a team of housekeeping staff
and someone who comes with experience in
supervising/managing
a small team.
A
strong eye for detail
, ensuring every guest room and space looks perfect.
Excellent
organisation skills
and
strong knowledge of cleaning techniques
, equipment and safety standards.
Someone who enjoys working
independently
but is also a
team player

Someone who can use their
own initiative
and prepare rotas for a small team, covering shifts where needed.
A
friendly and professional approach
, as you may interact with guests during your work.
Flexibility with working hours
, including weekends and occasional evening shifts if needed.
Ability to
handle physical tasks
, such as lifting linen baskets and making beds efficiently.
