Job overview This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 2 Housekeeper to join Fletcher ward, a diverse and motivated team that is dedicated to the development of specialist clinical skills and the delivery of high quality safe care. We are an 18 bed ward specialising in clinical haematology and bone marrow transplant.
Main duties of the job You will be required to familiarise yourself with the attached job description and person specification. The successful candidate will be responsible for the ensuring Fletcher Ward is consistently stocked with the necessary equipment. You will help with the continual upkeep of cleanliness and the maintenance of the unit by working with estates in reporting and monitoring of faults. Whilst working proactively as part of our team. The successful candidate will be responsible in ensuring a high standard of cleanliness throughout the unit whilst also taking responsibility for aspects of stock maintenance and control. The main elements of the role will include cleaning, and maintenance, ensuring stock levels are maintained and nursing equipment are kept to the required levels.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities The successful candidate will work with materials management, equipment suppliers, procurement and finance to ensure correct stock levels are maintained and that stock is correctly stored and maintained. The use of Integra and NHS Supply chain are essential in ordering both stock and non-stock items. The role will also be responsible for ensuring all electrical equipment is PAT tested in line with Health and Safety, to ensure it is safe for staff, patients and relatives.
