Job Summary

We are looking to employ 2 housekeepers for 17 hrs on average a week.

This position is available in Thomas Gabrielle Nursing Home, Victoria Street, Cwmbran NP44 3JP. This is a permanent position for the successful candidates. The hours of work are 8am to 3pm on a rota basis which will be discussed in more depth at interview.

This will include some weekends and bank holidays including xmas day/boxing day/new years day

Job role

You will be expected to carry out all housekeeping duties in the home :-

. Vacuuming , dusting all areas of the home

. Cleaning of windows and bathrooms/shower rooms/toilets

. completing deep cleans as per rota

. complete all relevant paperwork at end of your shift

. ensure you care for and look after all equipment using it appropriately

. reporting any repairs or issues you notice around the home as they occur.

. attending relevant training courses appropriate to your position

Requirements

Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is preferred but not essential. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition when interacting with clients or team members. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require standing for long periods or lifting light loads.
